My Dear Sir,

Mr Henneman<1> told me he should take a positive on Glass in the Camera from any negatives of mine you might like to use,<2> in which case he could reduce the photograph to any size desired so I sent the large pictures because they were better subjects than I could find among any I have of a smaller size.

I am My dear Sir, Yours truly,
Francis Bedford

H. Fox Talbot Esq

Notes:

1. Nicolaas Henneman (1813-1898), Dutch, active in England; WHFT's valet, then assistant; photographer; opened calotype printing studio in Reading in 1843 and transferred to London in 1848.

2. WHFT's photoglyphic engraving process. He required a transparency for this.
