Dear Sir

As you told me you wished to see specimens of the umbelliferan plant I have raised from Mexican seeds, marked “e regione frigidâ” I have sent up a specimen to London today, & if you like to send for it to no 31 Sackville St <1> you will find it there. It is a monstrous spreading plant 6 feet high; I do not recognize it as belonging to any of the usual European genera; yet altogether in the same style. flowers inconspicuous brownish-green; stems remarkably hollow.

Yours very truly
H. F. Talbot

I have a Chelone from Mexico coming into flower, & I cultivate a small annual from Texas (I picked the seed out of my herbarium) it is a new species of Caryophylleć I call it Spergulopsis oligandra

Notes:

1. 31 Sackville Street, London residence of the Feildings, often used as a London base by WHFT.
