My dear Sir,
The Society would no doubt be very glad for any addition that you may make to your paper and in any way that you would prefer Would it not be desirable to add the translations at the end of your paper – as some time will elapse before the whole is set up – and the appendix would separate it from the original matter by the interval of several pages. Pray send the matter to be set up and arrange, as you think fit. After the Society is more established the expence of printing ought to be done by itself and not thrown on the writers – but at present your liberal offer is of great aid in helping to establish it
It embraces all the principal cuneiform students – and for the number of members has more savants in its body than any other Society lately established Mr. G. Smith has been away for illness but is slowly getting better. He has over studied and seems affected with a kind of nervous debility. M. De Sauly has sent us a paper on the site of Capernaum – Your will I hope be able to aid us with a paper next Session which will not commence till November.
Believe me Yours vy truly
