Lincolns Inn <1>
7 May 1849
My dear Sir
I enclose You the proposed agreement wh Mr Langenheim <2> & Mr Kreeft <3> for the sale of yr American Patent <4> which has been sealed with the 2 latter Gentlemen –
I learn from Mr Carpmael <5> that he forwarded the Assignment to You on Saturday with the necessary instructions regarding Your execution – as the latter requires some care so as to make the Assignment valid in America. I should suggest the that if not already executed it would be [illegible deletion] desirable to perform that ceremony here – As Mr Langenheim is very desirous to leave for Germany the moment the business is compleated perhaps You will be good enough to expedite the matter so that he may be detained as little as possible –
You will see that the guarantee to be given by Mr Kreeft required a separate instrument
I remain Dear Sir Yours very truly
