Sir,
I have now the pleasure of submitting to your revision the sketch of your family history arranged for insertion in the next Part of my Dictionary of the Landed Gentry and I shall feel obliged by your sending it back to me by return of post, with such emendations as you may deem desirable. In the new edition of my Peerage, now also passing through the press, I have introduced the Lacock line of the Talbot family under the noble house of Talbot.
With respect to Arms, you will perceive that I have made reference for them to the Supplemental Work "Heraldic Illustrations" and I have done so in the hope and under the impression that, on reconsideration, you will authorize the insertion of your Shield in that Collection. I am particularly anxious that you should, as I wish much to enrich it with the ensigns of the ancient House of Talbot. I again forward the Prospectus & await the favour of your reply.
I have the honor to be Sir, Your Very faithful Servant
John Burke
