I am directed by the Poor Law Commissioners for England & Wales to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the17^th Ins^t respecting the removal of a family from the Parish of Lacock to the Manufacturing districts and in reply to your inquiry respecting an Agent to state that the Board have authorised a person to act in that capacity - and that he is at present resident in Manchester.

His name is Rich^d M. Muggeridge & he should be addressed as Agent to Home Migration, Manchester - under cover to the Poor Law Commissioners.
