Dear Sir,
It is my official duty to inform you that on 1st October inst the Reverend Edward Powell Nicholl <1> executed his Resignation of the Vicarage of Lacock in the County of Wilts and that my lord Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol <2> has accepted the said resignation and has declared the said Vicarage void of the person of the said Edward Powell Nicholl and decreed that a notification of such a voidance should be given to the Patron thereof
The receipt hereof I will trouble you to acknowledge
