We have received your letter of the 13th <1> and will give you orders our best attention. We have not been able to meet with a purchaser at any thing like a fair price for the Coventry and Leicester Junction Shs or for the London Worcester Rigby & Oxford Shs The share holders of the Armagh & Portrush company are taking legal measures for the recovery of the money advertised to be returned by the directors, as they (the directors) state that they are not able to return £1 – pShare, and in the mean time we cannot procure more than 7/6 pShare which we did not think right to accept before we had communicated with you, please to inform us whether you wish to have your shares sold at this price, or would you prefer waiting the issue of the measures taken by the scripholders against the directors. You have not favoured us with any orders for the payment of the balance due to you, now in our hands amounting to £160·2·6
