6. May 1842.

Monsieur,

A Claudet

Sir,

I am sending you two copies of the deed for the licence which is planned between us, one of which contains the changes which we agreed upon, & those which were needed to make the clauses comply with the correspondence which has passed between us.

My Solicitor has not had time to make a fair copy, but if you do not have any changes to propose, it would be possible to have copies made of the two deeds on Monday, & you could sign them before you leave.

Please accept, Sir, my sincere regards
A Claudet

I have instructed Messrs Newton and Sons to withdraw their opposition to your Patent. The declaration which you have made is quite sufficient.
