My Dear Sir

Very Great interest was excited in your second paper yesterday.

Mr S. M Drach, and the Rev J. M. Rodwell considered that the word Mamit was derived from either Thmei (Egypt) or Thum “hath”

Dr Ginsberg called attention to a remarkable passage in the Talmud, where it is disputed, if the Temple is on fire on a Sabbath whether it would be lawful to save anything, which is answered in the affirmative as regards the Torah, a word of truth.

I write in great haste thinking this may interest you

Yrs faly
