Dear Sir,
I enclose a copy of the abstract of my last paper. The complete paper will appear in the next number of the Proceedings of the Royal Society. As soon as it is published I will send you a copy.
I am well acquainted with your researches on this subject Having [sic] indeed republished all the early papers I could find, in the Chemical News about a year ago. Not having the numbers by me to refer to I cannot say whether I inserted the identical paper you refer to, but many of yours I gave.
Would a specimen of a compound of Thallium be of any interest to you to see the green hue which it communicates to the spectrum? I shall have much pleasure in forwarding you sufficient for two or three experiments, although I cannot yet boast of much material.
Believe me very truly yours
William Crookes.
