Lacock June 4
Dr Sir
I am much obliged for the 2 photographs of Trafalgar Square, which being the same on glass and on paper enabled me to make a Comparative trial – I found that both of them answered perfectly well – They are about the right strength – Faintly printed photographs do not succeed, or at least are difficult to manage. Waxed photographs answer very well, except when the waxing makes them appear faint by transmitted light – I am coming to Town for a few weeks next Monday, & remain
Yours very t<ruly>
