I venture to send you by this Post a little Book which I have just published having for its object the illustration of the Book of Jonah by the Assyrian Discoveries <1> –

Any interest it may possess is owing to the researches of yourself & others – I have taken the liberty of mentioning your name pp – 46–59.

If you should think it useful in the way of establishing the Truth of Holy Scripture on the minds of those who may not have time or opportunity to investigate larger works on similar subjects, I should esteem it a favor if you would recommend it –
