My dear Uncle Henry

I propose coming to Lacock on Saturday next with my two eldest girls <1> – leaving London at 11.45. a.m.

I do not know if there is a slip carriage for Chippenham <2> by that train – but if not we should wait at Swindon & come on by the train which arrives at Chippenham at 2.50.

In any case we shall have had luncheon en route.

We go tomorrow to the Brunswick Hotel – Hanover Square.

Believe me Your affte

Mount Edgcumbe

Notes:

1. Lady Victoria Frederica Caroline Edgcumbe (d. 1920), and Lady Edith Hilaria Edgecumbe (d. 1931).

2. Chippenham, Wiltshire: largest town near Lacock, 3 miles N.
