My dear Uncle Henry
As my Mother was here when you wrote, & talked to the gardener about the plants, I think she probably told you of their safe arrival – but I certainly ought to have written before this to thank you for them myself –
My gardener seems to think it would be best not to plant them out till next year – & I suppose this is not the best time for making the experiment – but we will look out for snug nooks on the Terrace – & give them every chance –
My Mother is now at Cotehele, but returns on Monday for that most tiresome form of benevolent exertion, wh is her greatest delight – a charity Bazaar.
