My dear Henry –

I envy you being in London at so interesting a moment, & am most anxious as to the Division, which I fear we Shall hardly hear of tomorrow – I am glad O’Connel <1> <sic> got well punished by Stanley <2> & the House which he will feel Still more – I am not surprised at his anger for his Tongue will be tied when he returns to Ireland, & his Domain of doing mischief much dimished. his axiety <sic> that no Poor Law should be established in Ireland for fear the people shd have when in that to feed themselves, & be no longer starving & agitateable, makes him a worse man than ever I thought him

<illegible>

H. F. Talbot Esqre M P
