In a great hurry I write a line with the Sketch, to recommend it to y^r notice – It is much prettier than many I have seen by the great sculptors, & only 150 Scudi, w^h is half the original price, owing to the hard times w^h weigh heavily on the 2^nd rate Artists. It is a good size for the situation – about I sh^d say 1^ft & half high in the highest part – without prétention & yet very pretty – The childs figure is particularly graceful & prettyier in the rilievo than the drawing – We had thought the same sort of boy’s figure with another weeping over an urn w^d be also pretty – & I c^d ask him for a sketch – but that w^d be probably double the price as this one is ready – & that w^d have to be made on purpose –
