My dear Henry

I have some floating thoughts of going down to see Horatia <1> today by the Express train, & coming back again tomorrow. Do you think she cd lodge me and my maid for one night? & what do you think of my scheme? I have had no letter today, & suppose she is better – only I thought it might do her spirits good. Of course I could only stay one night. Give me a line quickly, as Aunt L. <2> has asked me to dine with her, & I have not yet answered –

Yrs affly
Caroline

Ld Mt E. <3> is just gone to Cowes.
