My dear Henry
I never wrote you anything more about Aunt Mary, <1> as she had the Influenza at Penllegare <2> <sic> & could not come to us – But she soon got well – & they talk of coming to us in the summer. If they do I hope you will meet them.
Thursday
I had not time to finish this yesterday – I drew a good deal, & went to hear the two eldest Princes <3> play on the Piano & violin – & took a walk for the first time since my Influenza.
I am going to Maurigy’s Hotel <4> 1 Regent St on Saturday, for a few days. Constance <5> has asked me to go go to Laycock Abbey in my way back – which I should much like to do – & hope to manage it – Are there any hopes of seeing you there?
I can scarcely tell yet, what I can do – but I think I can manage to go there for a night or two. – I sent a note to you at the Athenæum <6> when I first went to Town – thinking you were there – but I suppose you were not.
Yrs affly
Caroline
