Decr 10th 1875

My dear Henry

As I believe you are at Lacock Abbey, I write a line to you there, to say that we purpose leaving this on Monday for Bath – where we should arrive in the evg at 8-40 I think. I had some thoughts of going by London – where I have various small things I should rather like to do – but as that would entail more travelling, & 2 days more living at a Hotel, which is always so expensive, I think it wiser on the whole, to go at once to Bath from hence. Ernestine <2> writes by this Post to Rosamond, <3> to enquire if you will all be there – & to ask her to take rooms at the York House for us. She has begged her to write by return of Post, here – in case rooms could not be had – or any obstacle had occurred to our meeting.

We had a charming visit at Chatsworth. In haste – Post going –

Yr affte Sister
Caroline
