My Dear Mother
Jack the Giant Killer <1> gave great pleasure to a select circle of listeners, and is announced for repetition on some future evening.
I think I shall come to Town Monday to see you before you go – Cannot you put off the bricklayers for a few days? Else I shall be ruined by bills at hotels.
Your affte
Henry
Notes:
1. Jack the giant-killer (Devonport: Samuel and John Keys, 1835). It grew out of oral tradition. [See Doc. No: 05577].
