Laycock Abbey
Thursday
My dear Henry
I send you the letter from Mr Jennings <1> that Stilwell <2> sent me some days ago. Mr J. does not seem to know anything about dates &c as to the 300 a year that we know ought to be paid up to the time, but the 200 we are not sure about whether it is up to the last quarter only or to the day. Perhaps Mr King <3> would know – you see it was payable 5th March & not Lady Day<4> like the other. How hot it has been today – 83 again I took a drive to Melksham & was nearly baked. They had the picnic in InnWood <5> today – I am much better only still troubled with a blister in my mouth very uncomfortable –
yr aff sister
Horatia
