Pray accept my thanks for your kind recollection <1> of me in sending me your Pamphlet which I find (although incompetent to Judge of the merits of your plan of alteration in the mode of Election) very interesting & I am sure your approbation of Lord John Russell’s <2> labour in the service of his Country is Justly his due – but on the subject of the Repeal of the test & Corporation nets, I wish you had named your Cousin his Coadjutor in the field, & a Veteran whose active zeal was never wanting in the cause of civil & religious Liberty
