My Dear Talbot
I was prepared for the sad contents of your letter of today by one I received from Ly Mount Edgecumbe [sic] <1> yesterday. I need not say how truly I enter into all your feelings on the occasion, having always received the kindest attention from her whom we have lost. <2> I shall be most ready to shew the last mark of regret in my power & to attend wherever you may name should it be the wish of yourself & the rest of the family that the near relations should be present at the funeral.
With many thanks for your kind expressions towards me
Believe me to be Yours very Truly
