Dear Sir
I take the pleasure of writing you according to promise after my Wifes [sic] confinement, on the subject of the Abbey. As she thinks it does not agree with her health in the autumn and winter, I am therefore desirous of giving it up at your early convenience. We are going to the sea side for the benefit of her health the latter end of next month, and for the summer we shall probably go abroad to meet some of her relations. I shall therefore be happy to surrender the Lease at Next summer, which probably will be equally convenient to you, and possibly it may be to our mutual accomodation [sic] to take some of the furniture at a valuation.
I am dear Sir your obedt Serv
