Chippenham <1>
25th May 1831
Dear Sir,
Having been prompted at your suggestion to put forward the taking a new Census of the Parish I with much pleasure take the earliest opportunity of making you acquainted with the result – I only received it yesterday – the only remark I can make upon it is that it has been done by the Bailiff of the hundred the deputy Overseer & the county Clerk. & it appears to have been done correctly –. I believe the Parties would make oath to it if required – I also add a copy of the Survey of 1821<2>
I remain Dear Sir Your obt Sert
