Dear Sir
I am induced to address you on the subject of taking the shooting over your land and Farms of Ash-Hill & Nethermore (I believe) Farms from learning you have before let the shooting over them but have now allowed your Tenants the power I am not an avaricious sportsman nor is my object that of profit I am very fond of the amusement but will never presume at the expense of the Farmer & if there is any reasonable Hare & Game I should be willing to recompense
Shall you have any objection supposing I obtain the consent of your Tenants to grant me the Right of shooting & will you name the yearly amount of Rental
Should you accede to my wishes I shall have great pleasure in occasionally sending you some Game if my success will enable me to do so
Mr Sotheron who resides at Bowden Park will give you I am sure any necessary information but perhaps you were personally known to my late Father Ezekiel Harman
