Sir,
I have had the honor to receive your kind favor of the 3rd Inst. and beg to say that I have not yet applied for a Patent for my improvements in obtaining Electro-motive power, but that my drawings and specification for such purpose are near completion.
If you Sir are so kind as to entertain my proposal for carrying out this Invention I shall be happy to forward my plans to you, so that you may be enabled to satisfy yourself of the practical character of the improvements which I have invented, and if approved to enter into such arrangements as you may consider necessary for the completion of Patent and construction of a working Engine.
I am Sir Your faithful Servant
