Honoured Sir,

I received your letter of the 18th this morning I should have done so sooner but as I go to Regent Street every day my letters are left at the house of a friend untill I call for them.

I have happy to tell you, you have been missinformed relative to my leaving your property unprotected by Sleeping from home. I can assure you Sir it is false I never Sleep from home, excepting last week I went into the Country as my brother was married and on that occasion I got leave from Mr Henneman, and I got a very respectable young person to come and sleep at the house I am very sorry any one should try to injure me by telling such wilfull falsehoods and shall feel exceedingly obliged to you sir if you would let me know the address of the party that has stated such a thing so as I can get an explanation from the.

The goods left with me are all safe and I hope every thing will give you satisfaction when I hear or see from you again

I remain Sir you humble and obedient Servt
D Harrison

H. F. Talbot Esq
