My dear Sir,
Charles arrived here safely yesterday, having given up the ride, & come by coach – I am very glad to say that I think, & we all think him looking much better than we expected – he seems well, & cheerful, & has made a beginning this morning with his studies – I hope that he will now go on well, & if so he will be quite fit to commence his Cambridge career in October.
Believe me Yours very sincerely
A W Headlam
