Whorlton. Darlington
Nov. 2. 1860.
My dear Sir.
I beg to inclose you my account for Charles made up to the time of his leaving me – I have heard from him twice since he went to Cambridge, but neither time did he mention his own health – I have however heard a favorable report of him from one of his former companions here – I sincerely trust that his mind may recover a more healthy tone. If so, I think that he may take a very creditable degree – I was in Cumberland last week, & saw Mrs Talbot, but was sorry to hear that Charles had not written to her, since arriving at Cambridge. We have now some most beautiful weather, & the harvest is at length nearly completed –
Believe me, dear Sir, Your’s very faithfully
