My dear Sir,
I have just received both your note, and the ordnance map – pray accept my best thanks for the latter – it will be a very useful map to have in the house. It has often occurred to me that it was a mistake so much to limit the maps to counties.
I am very glad to hear that you think Charles to be really better – I heard from him from Edinburgh about his poney which he says that he wished to sell – & as it is not likely to be of use to him for some time to come. I should think it was his best plan to do so – We have more very enjoyable weather now, which we appreciate much after the long succession of bad weather of every description –
Believe me, my dear Sir, Your’s very faithfully
