My dear Sir,
I was glad to hear from Charles that he had got Safely to his journey’s end – travelling in our part has been rendered so disagreeable and tedious in consequence of the Snow – One of my other pupils, with whom Charles reads, has to begin Trigonometry after Christmas, & also to get thro’ Geometrical Conic Sections before Mid Summer – so that I think it will be advisable for Charles to do the same, & he must try and get forward with the Algebra Simultaneously. I am glad that he has got into a warmer climate for this season – as we have here an unusually severe winter – but I hope that we may be well through it before he returns – I hope that the end of January, or beginning of February may be a convenient time –
My account for the half year will be 78£, including some books and other little expences.
Believe me Yours very faithfully
