Sir

I supose you have received a circular from the Society for Arts about the Exhibition of Photographic Art <2>, and as I understand that the main object is to see wether improvements have been made sints your invention was first brought out, I shall feel greatly Obliged if you would let me have some of the best negatives, so that I may make some possetives from them, please to select the oldest

P.S. I think a letter from you to them about the shortnes of notice, and the time of the year for such a interesting exhibition would perhaps induce them to defer it to next summer
