My dear Henry
my Sister <1> told me of your kindness in saying you would be glad to see my Son <2> at Lacock if I wished him to attend my dr dr Brother’s <3> last Ceremony. –
but grieved as I shall have been, not to have had George go, if at all within reach to join the sad Procession, it is a very different thing troubling you with an Inmate, you hardly know, at so trying a moment – & the great distances & long delay (till next Thursday I hear) would also make it very difficult for me to manage – but I am (& so will he be) equally obliged by your kindness./
I hope you found dr Constance & the little Lady’s <4> well – but love to her/
ever yrs truly
A. S. Hicks
we expect the poor dear Souls in S. St <5> this day –
