Dear Sir

I sent your parcel to Gussone <1> through the Foreign Office, by way of Malta.

There was more difficulty in sending your parcel <2> to Bertoloni <3> at Bologna, but Mr Strangways <4> has taken it to Vienna, whence there is a regular communication with Bologna.

As it appears that I never Sent you any plants from the Ionian Islands, I can now send you a collection of them, if you wish it.

They are ready to be sent off whenever you please –

Believe me Yours very truly
H. F. Talbot
