Leigh Delamere. Chippenham
October 16. 1857
Dear Sir,
On inspecting Lacock Church as Rural Dean, a few days ago, I observed considerable dampness against the lower part of the Wall in the Chancel chapel which, I understand, is appurtenant to your property at Lacock. May I take the liberty of suggesting, that perhaps a little Drain outside the wall of the Church in that part, would probably cut off the source of the mischief.
I am, Dear Sir, yr very obediently
J. E. Jackson <1>
Rural Dean
