I thank you very much for your kind invitation & offer to show me yr M. Charta. <1> I would have come over with much pleasure either today or tomorrow, But I am on a visit at Longleat, & cannot manage to do so. I only recd yr note this morning.

2. In addition to being an antiquarian and an author, Jackson was apparantly a Daguerreotypist; see Wiltshire Archaeological Magazine, v. 1, 1854, p. 33.
