Lacock Abbey, Chippenham
June 12. 1839
Dear Sir
Three or four weeks ago, I wrote you a few lines by the twopenny post, mentioning that I had sent a small parcel of photogenic drawings, <1> of which I requested your acceptance, if you could send for them to No 31 Sackville St <2>
Understanding that this packet still remains there, I think it possible that my note may have miscarried, and therefore I have just written to say that the drawings will be delivered to your messenger, whenever sent for. Believe me to remain
Yours very truly

Notes:
1. This letter has not been located; given Jerdan's interest in the new art of photography, he would have been expected to have taken advantage of the offer promptly, so perhaps it had indeed miscarried.
2. London residence of the Feildings, often used as a London base by WHFT.
