Heathfield.
Feby. 12. 1848.
Dear Sir,
I am again under the necessity of writing to beg you for the Negatives which you have of mine, at any rate you will allow that it is hard that I should be so long debarred from having them copied either by Henneman <1> or myself; however by your last letter to Cardiff you gave but too good reasons why the delay had been so prolonged; among which I was truly sorry to see your own ill health ennumerated [sic].
I am grieved also to hear that the establishment <2> has not been prospering, and do not wish you to keep the last negatives which you selected at your own inconvenience, but if you do keep them I shall be much obliged by a Cheque for them, as I have a great many things to pay, 11 large at £1. 1. and 27 small at 8s make £22. 7.
I shall be also particularly obliged for the copies of my Negatives, of which I sent the list, <3> and have begged for so often
Yours very truly
Calvert R. Jones.
