Heathfield.
May 2d 1848.
My dear Sir,
Thanks for the two halves of the cheque which arrived safe.
The Italian views of which I have not had copies are on several lists which I have sent Henneman <1> at different times; the best are Arch of Titus, (very good) Neapolitan fishing boat and man (do) Rape of the Sabines 2 views (<illegible deletion>) (do) besides some good views of Veranda &c.
I hope you may dispose advantageously of the Regent Stt affair; <2> it appears very unfortunate that you have not been able to get a trustworthy copier for Henneman, as I shd have thought that a person paid by the day wd have no interest in not paying every attention in return.
The success however of the undertaking consists very materially in sending out good copies as the difference in these is wonderful.
Yours very truly
Calvert R. Jones.
