Dear Sir
I am happy to say that the poor little Child, <2> the object of your benevolent care, is better &, I trust, in the way of further amendment.
I have not failed looking at it, at such Times as seemed to me necessary to advise the means of Relief – I was there on Thursday & saw the Mother, I have been again to Day & shall go on Monday –
The Condition is this – The violent Irritation of the Bowels is removed & there is a power of taking & retaining Food which is, at present, changed into healthy Nourishment –
