Dear Sir/
I had an interview with Mr <Piece?> this morning & find that the Railway Bill which he is instructed by Lady Gorgiana <Fane?> to oppose is the Yeovil Bill it is a part of the same scheme as the Wilts & Somerset but a different Act of Parliament & it is not quite so forward as the latter not having yet passed the standing orders Committee – I went with Mr <Piece> to see Lady Georgiana <Fane’s> Country Solicitor who is in Town to oppose the Bill but could not meet with him – Mr <Piece> will readily afford every information in his power but as the Acts of Parliament to be applied for are distinct & you are interested as to the one in the most forward stage it is obvious you cannot want to form any union of opposition
