Dear Talbot

I am afraid it may be owing to some mistake of mine that you have not been formally asked to be upon Methuen’s committee,<1> I understand they hoped you would, & perhaps meant me to ask you, at all events let me ask you now, for all possible exertion is wanting, to go to Wilts without delay & assist. Henry <2> has been available for him ever since his own election –

I hope to hear better accounts of Feilding <3> from Richmond & trust the fresh air will tell at last –
