Many thanks for your note which I received at Brighton & the Talbotype which I found on my table when I returned on Sat^y evening –

I should like very [illegible deletion] very much to see the operation performed with the electric spark – the exhibition in Bond Street where I was one of the first visitors is most interesting, & I could not resist making a few purchases

If you should happen to come to town this week & go to Lord Rosses on Saturday, you would perhaps dine with me before, as I mean to have an early dinner (early for London) to enable me & any body who dines with me to get there –
