If you will send me the directions of your Agent to give the Duke of Devonshire he will write & desire him to call when he knows when he goes into Derbyshire & he can then settle with him about the person he wishes to take down with him-

I see very little of Caroline the Palace & the M^cDonalds & Children take up all her time but I hope next week I shall profitt [sic] more by her when the waiting is over-

M^r Nicholl called yesterday he left Jane at Milano where Kit was to join her in a day or two & they were to travel on to Basle about the same time - Jane settles Lucy & the rest at [illeg.] & will be in town next week or the week after probably- Lucy improved after she left Naples but M^r M's account of June her self is not good at all. Kit he said was better in health & spirits
