Dear Sir,
It gives me pleasure to find that you are sill [sic] studying the useful application of your discovery in which I took interest when we published your work the “Pencil of Nature.”
In order to give you such advice as I may be able I should wish to see some of the specimens you are so good as to offer to send for inspection. I should be glad to know the cost of producing the engraved plates, and whether there are artists, or engravers in Photography, who are capable of executing these plates.
It is a process with which I am not acquainted, but after having the above information I shall be better able to consider the best means of assisting you in making the invention more generally known.
I remain, Dear Sir, faithfully yours
Ths Longman
