"10 November 1847. Talbot writes to the publisher, Mr. Murray, Albemarle Street, London, asking him 'to deliver one copy of my English Etymologies [published in 1847] to Sir David Brewster, or his order. Yours truly, H.F. Talbot.' Beneath this note Brewster has written, and signed: 'To Mr. Murray. Be so good as to deliver the above to Messrs. Oliver and Boyd ... Novr. 16th 1847 D. Brewster'."
