I beg to thank you for your letter of the 26th Novr I have just received Professor Esheridge's Report and the subject is receiving our consideration.
That Iron Ore exists on your Property there is no question, but the extent is uncertain. I thank you for your consent to put down Pits if necessary. If on consideration we are of opinion that the probable extent will warrant an expenditure of Capital, I will write to you again on the subject - <1>
