7 Bays Hill Terrace
Cheltenham March 12. 1867
Dear Sir,
I shall be greatly obliged to you, if you will take the trouble to send me a few lines in the Cuneiform characters of the Inscription of khammurabi translated by you – the Journal of the R. As. Soc. vol 20. –
As the language is so clearly the same as that of all the other Assyro-Bablyonian inscriptions I want to see where the characters are, as I am not inclined to place much faith in Sir H. Rawlinson’s Turanians, who have already moved their point & centre of origin, from the mountains of Armenia to the highlands of Southern Arabia.
I am Dear Sir Yours faithfully
D. W. Nash F.S.A.
